Established in 2019: A vision Born on a Napkin
Yoga & Explore began with a simple yet powerful idea sketched on a napkin in 2019: to share the transformative magic of India, the birthplace of yoga, with the world. Founded by Steffi & Som, our mission is to guide you through an authentic journey of self-discovery. With Steffi's deep understanding of both Western and Indian cultures and Som’s profound knowledge of yoga and India’s hidden gems, we created this retreat to inspire and connect you to the heart of yoga in the serene Himalayan foothills and along the sacred Ganges.

Your Hosts: Bridging Worlds, Sharing Wisdom
Som, a Yogacharya from a small village in the Himalayan foothills, practiced yoga his entire life under the guidance of his master. Now pursuing a PhD in yoga, he brings unparalleled expertise and regularly shares his teachings in Europe, blending tradition with accessibility. As his student and the retreat’s organizer, Steffi is a certified yoga teacher from the West (German, but living in Australia), passionate about bridging cultural gaps. She understands the needs and hesitations of Western travelers, ensuring a seamless, welcoming experience that makes India’s rich culture and yoga heritage accessible to all, whether you’re a beginner or seasoned practitioner.

Trust Your Guides
With us, you’re in caring and capable hands for this 2-week journey. Som’s deep roots in yoga and India’s traditions, combined with Steffi's ability to navigate and translate these experiences for Western travelers, ensure you’ll feel supported every step of the way. From airport pickup in Delhi to curated excursions and yoga sessions, we’ve designed this retreat to help you trust the process, embrace each moment, and leave with a renewed sense of self, inspired by India’s vibrant culture and timeless wisdom.
